What’s your band called?
Deadly Viper Assassination Squad
Who’s in the band and what do they play?
Ava East on guitar
Kerrigan Pearce on drums
Zoe Edwards as singer
Kate Derringer on bass
When and how did you become a band?
The band was formed on December 23rd, 2013. It all started when drummer, Kerrigan Pearce, got a new drum set and decided to form an all girls psychedelic punk band. She sent a text to Kate Derringer, who she didn’t know very well but remembered hearing that she was a good bassist. After Kate joined, we searched for a guitarist and found Ava East. The last member to join, singer Zoe Edwards, had been friends with Ava for many years. The first time we all jammed together we knew it was a great combination and we could really go places with it.
How did you decide on your band name?
Deadly Viper Assassination Squad was suggested on the first day we jammed, and we all agreed that the name perfectly encompassed our sound and how we wanted to portray ourselves.
Any goals for the day of BFF Fest?
To kick ass.
What do you want everyone to know about your band?
How far we have come in the short amount of time we have been playing together. We’ve only been a band for 6 months and we have already created a full length album that we are recording next month. Not to mention the amount of shows we have been playing. We are working super hard to get our name out there and I think what we’ve been doing is really working for us.
