When and how did you become a band?
Last winter, Linda stumbled upon an amulet in the woods and then Jim was the only one who to wield its power.  Maria joined spring of 2015 and Erin joined in spring of 2016.

Can you describe your music?
Pop rocks and coca-cola. Yeah!

What bands, musicians (or other things) are your influences/inspiration?
Nature, the sound of the ocean and politics.

Do you have any special rituals to prepare for a show?
We play co-ed, competitive ouija board.

Tell us about your first show.
It was a Seraphine Collective show! We played at P.J.’s Lager House in January of 2015 with Rebel Kind, Prude Boys and Moonwalks. Linda was nervous and forgot all of the songs, and Jim couldn’t stop making capo jokes. Luckily, the crowd was kind.

Gear talk!  Tell us about your instruments/pedals/amps/drum set!
Jim plays jazz through an amp that sometimes works.
Linda plays a daphne blue Kalamazoo KG-2, made by Gibson in the late sixties. She wanted to tell you about it mostly because it rhymes.
Maria plays all of the drums.
Erin plays a red Fender Squire bass guitar through a bass amp that works most of the time.
Total gear-heads over here.

Who are your favorite Detroit musicians/bands?
Deadbeat Beat, Electric Wiccans, Casual Sweetheart ❤

BFF FEST 2016What is your favorite song right now?
Jim – Vic Chesnutt 4 lyfe and Woolen Men
Linda – The Jesus and Mary Chain feat. Hope Sandoval – “Sometimes Always” and all of the Failed Flowers songs
Maria – Brett Smiley – “Pre-Columbian Love” and nearly every Julian Cope song
Erin – The Gun Club – “Mother of Earth” and nearly every Danzig song

What is your favorite way to unwind?
Band practice, which takes place in Linda’s attic, and lots of Topo Chicos, which we drink on Linda’s porch.

What do you want everyone to know about your band?
Contrary to popular belief, Maria and Linda are not actually the same person.
